Case Overview:

A 30 year old woman had hydrosalpinx of her fallopian tubes that caused infertility issues. During a laparoscopic procedure to remove her fallopian tubes there was a bleed, but the surgeons never found a source. The bleeding resolved and she made a full recovery. A couple of years later she had uterine prolapse and rectocele. They did a hysterectomy and repaired the rectocele. The plaintiffs claimed that the bleed which had occurred during the earlier laparoscopic procedure caused the pelvic issues that occurred 2 years later. The defense used illustrations to show that there was no relation between the two events. The jury found in favor of the defense.
