Case Overview:
A woman presented in the emergency department after she accidentally put hair color into her eyes instead of her prescribed eye drops. At that time she was seen by the on-call ophthalmologist who treated her corneal injuries. After that visit the injuries progressed eventually into a corneal perforation and ultimately she required a corneal transplant in her left eye. The jury found in favor of the defense.
